RapidSSL - Generate Certificate Signing Request (CSR)

Solution ID:    SO6506    Updated:    08/27/2015

If you have a Microsoft IIS 6.0 or 7.0 server, or a Red Hat server, we have a new Symantec SSL Assistant to help you automatically generate a CSR and install your certificate. As an independent subsidiary of Symantec, RapidSSL offers Symantec SSL Assistant as a benefit of our corporate relationship.

Creating your CSR file is the first step in securing your webserver with SSL and gaining access to https. To generate a CSR, you will need to create a key pair for your server. These two items are a digital certificate key pair and cannot be separated.

Certificate Signing Request (CSR) instructions are available for the web servers listed below.

Please click on your server type to view the instructions.
